Peter Loftin- The Story Of The Achiever
Peter Loftin or Peter T. Loftin is the originator and the previous chairman of the Business Telecom Inc. or BTI, the major telecommunication enterprise. He is also popular for sharing his wealth through some donations as well as through various types of volunteer services. As a big supporter of arts, Loftin made the largest donation to the city of Raleigh in North Carolina where the BTI Center for Performing Arts was developed with his help. This center was situated in a large area between Tampa and Washington DC. Apart from that, he had his support for the North Carolina Museum of Science and the Police Athletic League. Being the owner of Casa Casuarina, one of the leading private clubs located in South Beach, Miami, he offered that venue for various events, which benefitted almost 30 charitable organizations.
After the 9/11 strategy, Loftin was also a part of the National Board of Governors of the American National Red Cross. Apart from that, he also made contributions to different charities that are really beneficial for the veteran people. Not just that, but he is also one of the major donors of the Special Operations Fund, which provides college funding for the kids of Fallen Tier 1 soldiers. Besides, Peter Loftin also supports the Airborne & Special Operations Museum located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a part of BTI, Peter founded a program to offer free internet services to all the disabled kids in the schools of North Carolina. Due to this reason, BTI was recognized as the “Corporate Citizen of the Year” by the state disability association.

Loftin is really eager to help kids. When he was in his 20’s, he set up the “Coats for Kids” camp where he used to donate winter coats to the needy kids. Then he established Camp BTI for both Girls and Boys Clubs of America where he performed Loftin’s 2-on-2 competition in basketball game throughout Atlanta. Along with that, he also assisted the Oak Ranch Facility for all the troubled teens and therefore developed a Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. Apart from that, Peter Loftin was also the previous board member of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and the American Lung Association. He also took part in the Board of Visitors of the Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Peter Loftin was also the member of the counseling board of Duke Heart Center at Duke University Medical Center. At present, he is also a board member of the Miami Beach Police Athletic League. In 2006, he was awarded the certificate of appreciation by the City of Miami Beach for the contribution that he made to that city. It included the sponsorship and/or donation of Casa as the place for various charitable functions like American Red Cross, Alonzo Morning Foundation, Scoliosis Research Society, Miami Book Fair, Miami International Film Festival and some other political fundraisers. According to this certificate, Casa Casuarina was converted as the elite venue for different private events and the leader of the new ultra-elite identity of Miami.
